You have to also consider the tax implications. If you are interested in opening a bank account, it’s best you form a US company and get an employer id number from US government. Its like a social security number. You would need someone in US to help you search for something called registered agents. I used floridascs.com they helped me

I am an Indian and my daughters are living in USA. I will visit them shortly. I would like to open a bank account with Bank of America where my daughters are having accounts. Instead of cash dollars, I would like to carry a US Dollar draft mentioning my name and passport number to open the account with Bank of America. I will produce my original passport when I will be there to open the account. Do I need to carry any other documents to open the account? Also I would like to know whether the bank draft will be accepted to open the account as I do not have any account with Bank of America now?
